The Halloween Hall of Fame promotes and encourages family participation in the Halloween holiday and provides a resource for Halloween lovers the world over. We do this by recognizing and appreciating the best Halloween has to offer. Our Hall of Famers, Nominees and Partners represent the true spirit of Halloween in a variety of ways – including their talent, creativity, imagination, professionalism and charitable spirit.

Halloween has roots in old beliefs and customs, and has evolved into a family-friendly holiday for all ages. The fact is Halloween is fun, with adults all over the world dressing up in costumes, attending parties and generally taking advantage of the opportunity to "be kids" again. Many children trick or treat with their parents or friends, creating cherished memories that last a lifetime. In fact, 93% of American children have fun with this tradition each Halloween. A variety of cultures have contributed to the modern day celebration of Halloween. Jack-o-lanterns come to us from old Irish customs, ancient Celts are said to be responsible for the practice of trick or treating, and bobbing for apples is thought to have come from the early Romans. These are just some of the fun facts that make Halloween the imaginative holiday that it is today.
